Going through a substantial period of growth, after securing and delivering several prestigious projects – see recently completed projects at Cardiff Airport and First Choice Group – Powell knew it was time to invest in some new recruits.
In recent weeks, Powell has welcomed David, Nathan, Kirsty and Angela to the teams. All with different responsibilities, each department within the Powell team is now stronger and better equipped to take on upcoming projects and continue working together with our strong portfolio of clients.
Without further ado, we’d like to introduce:
Beginning his career as a Trainee Accountant in 2010, following graduation from Cardiff University, David has gone from strength to strength. In 2013, he successfully qualified as a Chartered Accountant and went on to manage clients across a range of industries UK-wide.
His new role at Powell will see him assisting Kevin, our Financial Director, in the day-to-day running of the finance team across the group of companies. Welcome, David!
As a recent graduate with a Master’s degree, Kirsty has relocated from Swansea to join us here in Cardiff. Her qualifications and experience of working within a digital marketing agency, means she is fully equipped to market Powell effectively and represent the group of companies across all key sectors.
With a love for all things creative, she will be joining forces with Hayley, our Group Marketing Manager, to identify new avenues to promote Powell. Kirsty is also our new voice across all social media platforms for the group – see @Powell_Interior on Twitter and Powell. on LinkedIn.
With history in the automated storage industry, Nathan isn’t completely new to Powell; For years he has held the role of Installer for our sister company, Industore.
His Engineering degree, impressive CAD skills and managerial background have brought him to pastures new at Powell. He is now a Project Coordinator, supporting Lee, our Contract Manager, in the planning and coordination of our large-scale commercial fit out and refurbishment projects.
Nathan will miss the comradery of working across the UK with a team of installers at Industore but is now looking forward to establishing relationships with leading suppliers and contractors during a very exciting time for Powell. Good luck Nathan!
As a family-run business, we understand the Admin team is an essential cog in the day-to-day running of business. Due to recent growth at Powell, a space opened up for a person who understands and can successfully manage accounts as part of a group.
Angela brings a wealth of experience in handling complex accounts and managing creditors. The combination of accountancy and administration skills makes her the perfect fit for dealing with enquiries, purchases and suppliers here at Powell. Welcome to the fold, Angela!
