Situated in Cardiff’s business district and directly opposite the City’s Central Railway Station, 3 Callaghan Square is a busy office building with an open and bright double height reception area. With office leases due to naturally expire, the landlord was eager to refurbish part of the ground floor and main entrance, ready to entice new business. Powell was invited to tender for a CAT B refurbishment and was awarded the contract several weeks later.

3 Callaghan Square is a contemporary building that hosts a diverse workforce. Our client was looking to modernise the communal area, creating an impressive and welcoming space that encouraged positive impressions every time.

Outside the main entrance, Powell installed an accessibly ramp and canopy that stretches along the newly manifested windows.

In the reception area, Powell installed acoustic panels that acted as feature walls, various types of flooring, as well as unique suspended lighting. A bespoke reception desk is the focal point, while the soft furnishings create a welcoming collaborative and meeting space.

Through the large double doors is a lift lobby and disabled toilet, finished to a high standard.

3 Callaghan Square has transformed the reception area into a professional, stylish and welcoming space. The high-quality refurbishment has since added value to the property and boasted the moral of the workforces that occupy the offices.
